May 22nd College Players Celebration

Raider Football Family and Staff,
 
On Wednesday, May 22nd, we will be having a celebration of all of our
players who are continuing to play at the collegiate level. Please join
us at 2:45 p.m. in the LRC (Library) here at South to help celebrate
all of these young men who have contributed so much to Glenbard South
Football.  My goal is to fill up the LRC in support of these players
and wish them well at the next level of competition.  If you have any

Lift-A-Thon Update

Hello GS Football Families!

We are all gearing up for the 2013 Season

Lift-a-Thon!!!

The event will be Monday May 20th in the weight room from 7 pm-9 pm.  It will be followed up with a Meatheads Hamburger eating contest!

Last week the boys received their pledge sheets and raffle tickets. You can go on the football website to Pledge directly and also get information on the Raffle prizes!  We have lots of great items this year, including Bears Pre Season tickets, Spa Package, lots of local gift certificates, and much more.

We look forward to seeing all of you there to cheer the team on!  

We would like to get 2 families from each grade: fresh, soph, and juniors to donate 1 case of Gatorade. If you are able to donate please email me at:

Father-Son Clinic Information & Reminder

One Week until 2013 Raider Football Father/Son Camp!!!
 
Please see the following attachment and information regarding our Father/Son Camp here at Glenbard South on May 13th.  Even if Dad is gone, an older brother, uncle, family friend, etc. may substitute!  The point is...we want all of our Future Raiders and families to have this experience.   We will take registration at the stadium that night, but would love to have registration submitted ASAP to the address on the registration form.  Please pass along to all contacts at the youth baseball programs, grade schools, and middle schools that will have future Raider Football players.

Football Lift-a-thon - Monday, May 20th

We are very excited about our second annual Glenbard South Football Lift-a-thon! We are hoping to top last year's result when we raised nearly $4,000 and purchased much-needed equipment for the Football program.

Monday, May 20th at 7pm, will be the culmination of Raider Football's 2013 off-season Strength and Speed Training (Morning Insanity). It is our pinnacle event of the off-season displaying the hard work and dedication every morning throughout the year. Please support Raider Football as they strive to meet their personal and team lifting goals.

Please invite any incoming 8th graders to activities night tonight.  The schedule for tonight is listed below.  As a Football staff, we would love to make 1-1 connections with our incoming players and get them on the right path in regards to signing up for Summer camp.  Our goal is to have all incoming Football players in Summer camp and are asking for your help to get that accomplished.  Looking forward to seeing all of our 8th graders tonight!

NFA Camp - Chicago Off-Season Development Camp

Raider Football Family,

 

Please pass along to your QB's and WR's as well as your youth programs.  This will be our 3rd year hosting the Chicagoland NFA QB/WR camp here at Glenbard South High School in May.

 

NFA is a fantastic organization with coaches that work very hard for our kids.  This is one of the most worthwhile camps I have seen out there with a great ratio of instruction for QB's and receivers.  Most importantly, the coaches work really hard to reach out to the players no matter what level they are.  We will have all of our QB's and most of our receivers involved in this camp.  Hoping to get our youth QB's and skill players involved as well.

Summer Football Camp and Father / Son Clinic Registration

Dear Raider Football Parents/ Fans,

 

This has been an exciting off-season for Raider Football as we have been working hard to surpass our 2012 success and an IHSA playoff appearance.  Our motto this year is to be ALL IN...TOGETHER."  In order to do that, we need to ensure that we have all Current/Future Raider Football players signed up for our camps as soon as possible.

Raider Football and Golden Eagles Information

Dear Raider Football Family,

Summer camp is getting closer by the day!  The players and coaches are working hard this off-season to make 2013 a season to remember.  I have attached a couple of important documents and need your help with a couple of items.

1) Raider Football 2013 Important Dates-I have attached a document highlighting our 2013 important dates.  Within this document is also a quick snapshot of our program philosophy and what we expect of our players as well as a media information page.  We have a great website, as well as brand new facebook and twitter accounts for our program.  All important information will always be on our website and we will tie information into our facebook and twitter feeds when necessary.

2)2013 Golden Eagles Registration-One of our major feeders for Raider Football is the Glen Ellyn Golden Eagles.  There is still one more date to register (March 2).  All information related to the registration is listed on the important dates document and an overview of Golden Eagles Football is the other document.  

Please pass this information along to any future Raider families whether presently involved in football or not!  If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Coach Cordell at any time.
