The lower levels will continue their award ceremony in room 308, while the varsity will stay in the little theater. This is a special night for the entire program to celebrate the players and the successful seasons at all levels. All players are required to wear a shirt, tie, and dress pants to the event.

Playoffs Game 2 & Playoff Shirts

Good Morning, Parents:

We will be playing Marian Central Catholic this Saturday at 3:00 PM. The game will be played at home.

We are selling playoff shirts this week in the bookstore. The shirts will be sold as long as we are in the playoffs. The T-Shirts are $10 and the Dri-fit longsleeves are $18. We have a limited supply because I gave the players t-shirts last week. The T-shirts sizes remaining are small, XL, 2XL, and 3XL. For the longsleeves, we have small, medium, large, XL, and 3XL. If you would like to purchase one for yourself or anyone else please send you son with the money to school or you can drop by school during the lunch periods (10 AM-1PM)

Please see the attached image for the designs of the shirts. All the shirts are royal blue.

Playoff Practice

Good evening:

Next week, we will start playoff practices. This is a very exciting time of the season. I have invited all of the lower level players to continue to practice with us throughout the duration of the playoffs. This is a great opportunity for the lower level players to establish relationships with the upperclassmen and the varsity coaches. Also, this extended season provides the varsity coaches with the chance to evaluate players for the next season.

In previous seasons, some of the lower-level players have been able to break through in the lineup for the playoff games on a special team or an offensive or defensive package. Considering that, the coaches will be talking over the course of the week to determine who we will dress for the playoff games. Not all of the players will dress. Usually, 5-10 players are asked to dress for the playoff game.

Practice schedules will be different next week because of parent-teacher conferences. Monday and Tuesday will be typical practices which will start at the end of school and conclude around 5:30. On Wednesday, practice will run from 1:30 PM – 4:15 PM due to parent-teacher conferences in the evening. Thursday practice will be held from 5:30-7:30 PM because of parent-teacher conferences. Depending on which day the playoff game will be held, we may have practice or a game on Friday.

Thank you for the support this season, and I look forward to success in the playoffs.

Volunteer Opportunity

Hello Parents:

Just wanted to remind you about an opportunity for your sons to volunteer a few hours this weekend for a great cause. This Sunday is the JDRF Walk at St. James Farm in Warrenville. Please push along the information to the boys. The event workers would greatly appreciate the assistance. Here is a link to the volunteer sign up JDRF ONE Walk Volunteer Form.

Volunteer Hours & Yard Signs

Hello Parents:

Yes, I would like all the players to volunteer some of their time during the season helping others in the community. I have attached some documents regarding volunteer hours. The players are required to complete 10 hours of service. The attachments will layout the specifics. Coming up on October 1st is the JDRF Walk in support of creating a world without juvenile diabetes. The last three years we have had lots of football players help out during this event. As usual, the event takes place at St. James Farm in Warrenville. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Reif at reif@att.net.

I have had several parents ask about yard signs. In years past, I have had two parents take on the responsibility of ordering and distributing yard signs. I have a few yards signs left over from last year’s order, but not nearly enough to cover all the requests. If there are any parent(s) who would like to take responsibility of helping with yard signs please let me know.
